Goalkeeper Development
Goalkeeper Development at Sigma will focus on building and refining key technical abilities while also introducing tactical awareness which is a key component of the modern goalkeeper. Small age and level related groups of keepers will work directly under Sigma Goalkeeper Coach Vassilios Grigoriou.
Areas to be covered include:
- Set Position & Angles
- Shot Stopping & Diving
- Handling Crosses & 1 vs 1
- Smart Distribution (footwork is key!)
- Communication & Organization
Sigma will use multiple platforms to deliver its goalkeeper training to the specific needs of youth of various ages. This can include the ETC Program & Grassroots Program.
Also a popular choice of club teams is to incorporate a goalkeeper program within the Club Team Training program in place with Sigma, or to group goalies from their club and customize with us a valuable goalkeeper training program.
