The Ajax Camp Difference
2008 marks the fourth year the SIGMA AJAX Academy Coaches ID Camp returns to Canada. Over the years this special event has not only afforded participants the opportunity to further their development under the guidance of the Academy Coaches, but also select camp participants have since been invited to join development squads (ETC Program) to continue training in the same fashion. These development squads often become the basis for travel and showcase squads who spend time in the US and overseas conducting training camps and playing friendlies and tournaments for and with top US schools and leading youth academies like AJAX.
Camp Objectives- Scouting of talent by Sigma Sports and Ajax Coaches for inclusion in year-round Sigma ETC Program. Home to talented players from the GTA
- Providing camp attendees the opportunity to train under the world renowned Ajax youth development program
- Providing camp attendees the ability to interact with the coaches of Sigma ETC and Ajax and receive valuable feedback on how to progress towards their future goals
This Years camp will also have 2 additional areas of importance for participants
- College and University recruiting as Sigma will have two University Guest coaches who will be working with all high school aged players
- SEG one of Europe's leading Sport Management groups involved in Player and Manager representation will also be on site to evaluate potential future professional hopefuls in cooperation with Sigma
As is evident from the above mentioned objectives, Sigma Sports is driven first and foremost by providing aspiring young soccer players the absolute best in player development. Sigma Sports and the coaching team understand the local soccer environment like no other and more importantly believe in the fact that all areas of the world can produce high quality soccer players when the proper environment for training, expertise and management is available. Soccer players must learn the valuable principles of team tactics, vision and creativity which will allow them to play this sport with the maximum amount of fun, respect and discipline needed to excel.
AFC Ajax of Amsterdam number one goal is always to locate & develop the world's best young soccer players. Sigma Sports common development philosophy and practices is what makes this relationship so strong, allowing the leaders in youth development to be introduced to the soccer talents of tomorrow which make up the Ontario soccer community. The camp will afford the youth soccer players who aspire to one day play professionally or pursue a collegiate scholarship an opportunity to develop under the world renowned Ajax training program. The camp also offers all players of all levels the ability to learn and be a part of a unforgettable soccer EXPERIENCE.
At camps conclusion, and based on the inputs of the AJAX and Sigma Sports coaches, there will be the opportunity for talented individuals to be invited to the AJAX Toekomst training centre in Amsterdam for a week long training camp. This great experience will be provided by Sigma Sports.
